Blog Challenge: The Features of Version 2.0

Recently, a friend was describing her life after her divorce and the recovery process afterwards. “I think I can finally release Leslie 2.0.”

I laughed so hard. I decided to use this example as a blog challenge. Your next is to blog about what in your life is now version 2.0.

Is there something in your life that has finally reached version 2.0? Blog about it.

Clearly, my friend had reached the next stage in her life’s development, but there are many things in our lives that go through development stages just like software. When we start a new job, we’re at version 0.1, learning as we go and making mistakes along the way. After a year or so, we’re comfortable in the job enough to label it version 1.0. As the responsibilities increase and the job shifts and changes, it will go through versions 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, and then reach 2.0. In a life time of work, you may have many version numbers that range from 1.4.6.2 to 14.3 or any combination you want.

The version numbers can apply to your personal life, love, children, living in a home, hobbies, and even your blog. Where are you in your blog’s development? Have you reached 2.0 or gone way beyond it?

Just like software, you need to blog about the version’s features, previous versions, changelogs, and improvements which qualified a rise in the version number. It doesn’t have to be version 2.0. You pick the version numbers.

It’s up to you to examine your life, work, and blogging experience to find a subject to blog about it’s version number. I’m looking forward to some great creative releases. 😉

This is one of many I offer weekly to help kick your blogging ass. For more challenges, see the category.

I would not know about life 2.0 as I am barely moving out of beta right now, but I used the joke when I posted about STOVE 1.0.

    Lorelle, that’s damn funny!
I’m going through Divorce Contemplation Beta myself right now, and subsequently Adrian 2.0 is being coded for release.

Life experiences definitely mold your character, what follows can be positive if we have the right attitude. Thanks for a good chuckle in tough times.

And by the way, my blog is currently at 1.0.1.2, and if anything it has been fun learning – some teaching of which has come from you via this great ad-free blog.
