We all know people who have changed our lives. Some we know well and intimately, like good friends and family. Others, we know only through their existence on the planet, fame, fortune, or infamy. Yet, their lives influenced our thoughts, decisions, and feelings about ourselves and the world around us.
Writing a biography is different from writing other editorial styles. You are writing about a person, a life lived, or a moment in their life. This is not an auto-biography, a story about your life, but theirs. You are documenting their life and experiences, not yours.
Your blog challenge this week is to write a biographical post about someone, living or dead.
This is not your average high school writing assignment. I want you to write about a moment in a person’s time, or their whole life, if you can fit it into a single blog post, and how their experiences defined their life.
I asked you before to blog about someone or something that has changed your life, but that was about that person influencing your life. This is about how the life lived influenced their own life, though out their life, not yours. If you want to comment on how they influenced your life, that’s fine, but the point is to tell their story, not yours.

Once (even before blogging era) I used to write biographical notes on how this or that creative person had solved some complicated problem (in the scope of technology or PR).
Lorelle, after this post, I’ll keep in mind that this practice is worth repeating.
