WordPress Las Vegas: Weekend of Non-stop WordPress, Social Media, and Blog Talk

I summed up the event in WordCamp Las Vegas 2009 Summary and showcased my talk in WordCamp Las Vegas: By the Numbers Presentation.

In the first part of my personal showcase of CES and WordCamp Las Vegas stories and photographs, WordCamp Las Vegas Began With Blogger and Social Parties, I talked about the exciting experiences of a night of social and blogging fun at CES.

Over the two days of WordCamp Las Vegas, I had a chance to meet and talk to many WordPress fans and top bloggers from around the world, not just within the area. We talked WordPress, WordPress documentation in the WordPress Codex, the online manual for WordPress Users, Woopra, social media, and all things WordPress and blogging.

Mark, Megan, and Lorelle, fellow road warriors, meet up 13 years later in Las Vegas

One of the highlights of my weekend was being reunited with Mark Sedenquist and Megan Edwards of RoadTrip America and Living Las Vegas. We met in Sequim, Washington, at an RV repair facility just after we both were living in our separate recreational vehicles on the road. We were all innovators of web design and development, road warriors before that phrase was coined, journaling our life on the road. Mark and Megan told our story featuring Taking Your Camera on the Road, and we’ve been fans and friends ever since.

Mark and Megan published Caution: Funny Signs Ahead and Roads from the Ashes, as well as manage their many writers covering the Las Vegas area in Living Las Vegas, and took time off from their book tour for Funny Signs Ahead to join me at WordCamp Las Vegas. It was fabulous to reconnect again after so many years.

Everyone was wonderful and we had a great time learn from each other about how WordPresss works and how to make it work better for us.
