Gardeners are ruled by the seasons, changing crops and growing methods so food and flowers are grown year around in some areas.
Chefs love to use the freshest foods, thus are ruled by the results of gardeners and influenced by the seasons.
Outdoor enthusiasts are often ruled by the season, shifting from running in summer to biking in spring and fall to skiing in winter.
Sports fans are definitely ruled by the season, moving from one sport to the next as is appropriate to its season.
Travelers select their travel plans based upon not just the seasons but the climate of their destination. Many northerners, weary of the cold and dreary weather, travel to warmer climes, while those in warmer climates often head north for a touch of cold and the chance to play in some snow.
In this Blog Exercises, get out the calendar you created in Blog Exercises: The Editorial Calendar and look at how the seasons impact your industry and niche. Write down all the ideas associated with each month in a season, and the season itself.
Every business is impacted by the seasons, especially weather. How is your business and your blog influenced by the changing of the seasons? Do you get melancholy in the winter? Cheerful and active during the summer, spending less time on the blog and more in the outdoors?
Some blogs are dedicated solely to topics associated with a specific season such as the end of the year holiday season, summer activities, or winter activities.
Don’t worry. I’ll nudge you alone the way with various seasonal and weather blog exercises. Start exploring your own now and add them to the editorial calendar. Remember to set the deadline for posting in advance of the actual time period as is appropriate.
You can find more Blog Exercises on Lorelle on WordPress. This is a year-long challenge to help you flex your blogging muscles.

Thanks for bringing this to mind. In following through with your recommendation, I came across this quick, free calendar creator from TimeandDate.com that gave me ample space for a monthly calendar with room for my comments.
I printed a ‘large’ calendar and when previewing it, clicked an option near the top that allows for further formatting the output, from which I chose a one-month-per-page option. It was much like getting an old-style, bound calendar but without all the pretty pictures. 🙂
Tine and Date are listed in my editorial calendar exercise. It’s a favorite of mine as well. Thanks.
