Lorelle on WordPress is in Wikipedia

I’m fairly stunned. I’m in . Wow!

I’m listed on the Bookmarklet page of Wikipedia. Well, not me, but one of my articles: More Must Have Bookmarklets Than You Can Swing a Browser At.

Lorelle offers a list of bookmarklets useful for web design and development, especially useful for bloggers.

Wow!

Does this mean I’m famous? 😉

Apparently, you are #1 and #2 for ‘Lorelle’ on Google. You deserve a full biography on Wikipedia (linking to your genealogy blog, obviously).

Hah! Lorelle, there is no denying that you are an A-Lister now. 😛

Yes you are famous! Congrats 😉

I don’t know if you’re famous or not but I can tell you I’m very grateful to have found your site. I’m learning how to use WordPress and your blog is one of my major resources. I wish you had written the Quick Start (Peachpit) book. In fact, there’s room for another book on WordPress. Why not consider it? THEN you’ll be famous.

Congrats. Famous is relative but there is no doubt this is success 😉

Yes, it means you’re famous. I remember when I found that my Power Point on the Fireside Poets had been linked in the Wikipedia article on this group — I was so excited! Congrats!

Congrats, Lorelle, you REALLY deserve this 🙂 And maybe something more 🙂

Well, I’m going against the tide here. I don’t think you need the WikiPedia link to say you’re famous!

Lorelle on WordPress was definitely famous a long long time back!

I agree with Ajay. You’re famous with or without Wikipedia. And you’ve helped a lot of bloggers like me. So you deserve it.

    Lorelle,

Even my becoming a blogger was partly influenced by your contribution. I was looking around in the web for some articles about getting started and I chanced upon yours. Although it was some time later that I signed up on Word Press, I had used this opportunity to read a few of your posts about the fundamentals of Blogging.

I am very happy for you and for Wikipedia for having recognized your contribution.

    Keep the great work going!

Well done Lorelle! Congratulations and thank you for all your work. You worked hard at it and now even more people can profit from it. Enjoy yourself and have some applepie, whipped cream and a cappucino for a wordpress celebration!

Congratulations! 🙂 Just make sure they didn’t forget to put a properly formatted link to your blog post/article! j/k

By the way, it’s possible because I’ve found many mistakes @ Wikipedia, take this as an example..

Lorelle, I am in tears. I hope you can help. My blog was kicked off the web because of “too much activity.” I tried to follow the process to ask to be reinstated and messed up somehow. Now I can’t figure out how to reach WordPress. I have tried for 15 minutes.

I cannot help you with WordPress.com. There is never a reason to be kicked off for “too much activity” as that isn’t in the terms of service. If it is illegal activity or activity that violates the terms of service, maybe, but I don’t work at WordPress.com or Automattic. Your WordPress.com site is up, so hopefully you have resolved this issue. Contact WordPress support through their support services and/or the forum. Good luck with this.
