I Love My WordPress Mug

WordPress MugHave you seen the new WordPress mug?

For ages, while the WordPress Shop began their offerings of WordPress logo items with t-Shirts and hoodies, I kept telling the powers that be that I wanted a coffee mug. A big mug for my frequent cups of daily tea. A product that is useful and reusable, and it cleans up easily. Something I can display in a workplace environment that says “I love WordPress.”

I finally got my request! Now you can join me for a cup of tea…or coffee or whatever hydrates you…and proudly display the love you have for WordPress on your desk or in your home.

The mugs are dark blue with the small WordPress “W” circle and are designed for serious drinkers. The mug is great for soups. Even my picky husband loves the large handle and big size. We’re thinking about replacing all our tea mugs with WordPress mugs.

The WordPress Shop is produced by Indigo Clothing Ltd.

HOW TO BUY THE MUG

To buy the WordPress Mug, order it from the WordPress Shop online from the WordPress mug order page.

To order anything from the WordPress Shop, go to the WordPress Shop to order online.

WordPress products and schwag will probably NOT be available at a store near you unless , founder of WordPress, succeeds in his dream of world domination…with WordPress, of course. 😀

Order Problems: If you are having problems with the order of anything from the WordPress Shop, contact the WordPress Shop. Do not leave a comment here. They won’t see it and no action will be taken.

I’ve loved the design of that mug ever since it was introduced, even though I do not own one. Yet;)

Never can have too many mugs I always say.

10 USD is not too pricey for a mug. Too bad the shipping doubles the price though.

oh well…maybe I’ll score one at a wordcamp down the road if I can.

    Hi,
Great looking mug, how do I get one of those?

By the way I enjoy reading your blog!

Thanks for reminding me, I’ve been meaning to pick one of these up for awhile now. It would make for an excellent device to contain my Mountain Dew 🙂

Wondering if we could be listed on an I support WP page of sorts?

  19. Posted April 30, 2008 at 2:59 pm | Permalink

Sweet! Thanks for pointing this one out Lorelle, I’m off to the WordPress store…

    @ macewan:

Why? Isn’t your love of WordPress evident on your blog? 😀 There was talk of a WordPress Directory a long time ago to honor WordPress users…is that still around?

Actually, since everyone loves WordPress, it would be a very long list. I like the individuality of users saying how much they like WordPress on their blogs – or looking at a mug on your desk. 😀

  21. Posted April 30, 2008 at 3:40 pm | Permalink

    @ David:

Um, you buy it from the WordPress Store? 😀 I love mine. It’s great for soups as it is so large and deep. I filled it with nuts for a snack the other day since it was handy and it worked great. So many uses. Hey, it could even be a pen holder. Remember pens. We used to write with them. 😀

    @ Neil:

Want stickers, go to any WordCamp conference and you will get a ton of them. But keep nagging. Stickers are expensive to ship, so they aren’t very cost effective, but with WordCamps popping up all over the world, there might be one near you soon.

  23. Posted April 30, 2008 at 3:48 pm | Permalink

    @ Craig:

$10 is too expensive? The shipping is the shipping. What can you do, but I’ve paid double that for a good looking mug. I spent months shopping for one for my husband, one with a good grip for his larger hands. I found the perfect mug in a specialty store once. Perfect for his hands, deep to hold a lot of tea or soup…I went up to the counter and as I was waiting to pay, I turned it over and saw the price tag. I then walked back to where I found it and set it down carefully and walked out of the store. They wanted USD $150. I found out later that it was a special specialty store where everything is handmade, but still – that’s an expensive thing to drop on the floor.

I don’t think $10 is expensive, but shipping is getting more and more expensive as rates are going up with everything else associated with transportation. For me, it was a really cheap price to get something that I’m going to use for years…unless I drop it. Then I won’t sweat it like I would have the other mug. 😀

    Cool!!

  25. Posted April 30, 2008 at 4:52 pm | Permalink

My first thought was, “Hey, I want one of these!” Then I remembered how many coffee mugs I already have…

  26. Posted April 30, 2008 at 7:56 pm | Permalink

10 Pounds? Expensive for World Region. I hope they offer price in US Dollar.

  27. Posted April 30, 2008 at 8:07 pm | Permalink

    @ Kate:

Ah, yes, 10 pounds is a lot. Hmmm. It’s $10 USD. With the exchange rate changing so much, which one is the better deal now. 😀

  28. Posted April 30, 2008 at 9:17 pm | Permalink

I love it.. just wondering how much will the shipping cost to India be …

  29. Posted April 30, 2008 at 11:12 pm | Permalink

Ok, maybe this is cheating, but a while back I made a WordPress mug… After the WordCamp in Israel, where I got a WordPress sticker… well, I stuck it on my mug at work to differentiate it from other mugs. Brilliance, I know.

  30. Posted May 1, 2008 at 12:55 am | Permalink

    I’d sip that.

  31. Posted May 1, 2008 at 3:29 am | Permalink

It will cost me £44 Sterling to have two of these cups delivered to Ireland. It’s a bit weird how the store uses GBP as the currency for the rest of the World. I have thought that Euro would be a better option since it has a wider spread in Europe than Sterling.

While the cup is nice, I’m not going to £44 Sterling on it. 😦

  32. Posted May 1, 2008 at 5:28 am | Permalink

Hmmm suddenly i want a cup of coffee and i don’t even drink coffee!

  33. Posted May 1, 2008 at 7:32 am | Permalink

I call for a giveaway on the wordpress support forums. Random helpers to be chosen from the front page, once a week for a couple of months.

I’m taking a break from the forums currently, but the good people who volunteer there could use a nice permanent reminder on their desk, that they’re valued.

  34. Posted May 1, 2008 at 2:36 pm | Permalink

57 in stock, but the form only allows you to order 17 at a time.

Also of note, they didn’t claim their trademark – use it or lose it

Oh I’d love this one on my company desk!!!
Can we order online? I am very sure that this won’t reach shops around my country any time soon, if it is available through online purchase, i’d love one of these :).

  38. Posted May 1, 2008 at 9:36 pm | Permalink

    @ dhruvasagar:

Yes, you can order online. That’s the idea behind the WordPress Shop. 😀 I don’t think you will ever see this coming to a “store near you”…though I shouldn’t say that. Matt Mullenweg has ideas for world domination, but you’ll have to talk to him about that. 😉

    Coolest thing ever.

Harrumph. I bought FOUR mugs and haven’t seen any of them yet. Emails to the vendor web site have gone unanswered. So I can’t feel the love about my WP mug(s) yet. 😦
