Blog Challenge: Blog About Being Big – aka Successful

I have a friend in Israel who wants to be “big”. No, it doesn’t mean she wants to gain weight. She wants to be the most important person in her field of expertise and industry. She wants to be “famous” and well-known for her work. She wants success. She wants to be “big!”

Your blog challenge this week has two options.

1. Write About a Moment When You Felt “Big”

or

2. Write About What it Would Look Like If You Were “Big”

“Big” can mean anything to you, but think of it in terms of success. What did it feel like to be a success, even if it was for a moment in time. And if you have never felt “big” before, then describe what it would look like and what it would take to be “big” for you, and maybe even your blog.

I believe that recalling such memories are powerful for us and our readers. It shares our past experiences and feelings with our audience, helping them get to know us a little better, and helping them share their “big” experiences.

I also believe that you can get what you ask for, but you have to ask first. So why not write a picture of what it would look like for you to be the success that you want to be?

These are published weekly and are an attempt to kick your blogging ass. They serve to challenge your thinking and efforts in blogging and blog writing. To participate, start challenging yourself now. Today. Go for it.

OK, so this is not on my blog, but, I do remember BIG. I was simply embarrased. My deduction is some of us may be born to want BIG; some to want to do all the stuff leading to someone else being BIG, which isn’t exactly the same as being frightened.

Feeling big can come for helping others to feel big. It’s like a doubly-good thing when that happens. Support and Feeling Big.

I accepted the challenge and posted When I Was Big over on my blog. Let me know what you think.

    Hello
I’m impressed by your blog and wanted to ask the question popped up in my mind.
I read PC World article about blogging services on PCWorld’s review of blog programs.

And really wanted to know your idea about it.

I also read other articles, including Blogger vs WordPress Chart and Blogger Sucks – Wanna Move to WordPress.

I want to know your thoughts and recommendations,
    Thanks.

    @ Amir:

Since you did not state your question, I will assume you are wondering about whether or not to choose WordPress. I recommend you read The Wonderful World of WordPress Products and Don’t Buy WordPress – It’s Free to help you make your decision. Since I am biased, I’m not the right one to ask, if that is your question and I wrote one of the articles you mention. 😀

Ok, blew through your blog yesterday morning and saw your title “Blog About Being Big” and then “Write About What it Would Look Like If You Were “Big”” and said–I can do Big. And worked on it in my brain all day–only to open your page again to find, that was not the “big” you were talking about. Ooops! Oh well, I did have a good time with this week’s challenge–Thank you for offering it!

I finally got around to writing mine. You have the greatest prompts Lorelle! If anyone is interested, I write about meeting my rock hero as a twenty-something and my education hero as a thirty-something just a few months ago! Very “big” moments for me.
