WordCamp Las Vegas Will Rock the WordPress Community This Weekend

WordPress EventsI’m off on a plane to Vegas for WordCamp Las Vegas, the very first WordCamp of 2009. I’m so excited. It is happening at the same time as the 2009 International CES (Consumer Electronics Show), the largest technology and electronics show in the world. It may be competition, but WordPress fans can hold their own. I’ve already heard from a bunch of people going to CES that they want to escape to hit WordCamp Las Vegas, so get your ticket before it’s sold out.

There are only a few tickets left for WordCamp Las Vegas, so register now.

I will be speaking on Saturday at 3PM on web analytics and , and things you need to consider when staring at all those numbers about your blog’s activities.

will be speaking on Sunday, one of the hottest days of the event. I just talked to her and she has a really exciting program lined up. Makes me rethink what I’m offering, it’s that good. Don’t miss it.

WordCamp Las VegasMany of us will be talking about WordPress 2.7, the hottest and best release of WordPress in ages. We’ll be covering WordPress tips, new SEO strategies, WordPress Theme design and development, WordPress Plugins, integrating multimedia and social into your WordPress blog, monetizing your WordPress blog, and a lot more.

The rest of my fellow speakers are very impressive, bringing the best of the best of blogging and WordPress to you. They include:

Chris Brogan will be at CES and he’s made special arrangements to come over to speak, a great last minute addition to the schedule.

All are invited, but if you can’t come, help WordCamp Las Vegas promote the event.

Don’t forget to register for the WordCamp Las Vegas Live Stream with ustream so you can watch and participate in the event no matter where you are.

The Hashtag and tag for WordCamp Las Vegas is #wordcamplv.

Check out the WordCamp after party for any WordPress fans in the area at Jack’s Irish Pub inside of Palace Station. RSVP for the after party event on Facebook.

I will have only a few of my books, Blogging Tips, What Bloggers Won't Tell You About Blogging, available for sale and autographs, and a few of the last private invitations to use . Come see me there!

I’ve already registered for WordCamp Las Vegas and I’m really looking forward to it since it will be the first time I’ll be attending an event such like this. Too bad I won’t be able to hear your talk coz I’ll only be attending the Sunday session. Anyways, all the best to you, the rest of the speakers and the organizers. 😀

@Jaypee: At least you will be around for Liz Strauss and her awesome presentation. Sunday is going to be a very excellent program, from early morning through the day.

We wish we will have a Wordcamp İstanbul one time 🙂

Stop wishing and put it together yourself. It doesn’t take a lot of money if you keep it informal and social. Istanbul is a major industrial and corporate international city, and a tourist destination. I love visiting the city and traveling all around Turkey. Find a location for cheap or free at a club or college and invite the world. See who shows up. Or talk to businesses and get their help funding it. I vote for start simple and build, but either way, go for it. And invite me to come speak. 😀

If you made it to WordCamp Las Vegas, good for you (great for you!) If you didn’t, find out where and when the next one is going to be and MAKE IT THERE Trust me when you read that if you are into WordPress, want to be into WordPress, or simply would like to know more about content management systems, blogs, and great people that THE place to do this is at you nearest (or furthest!) WordCamp
