The friend I’m staying with in Israel is a master shopper. She looks like a high fashion, classic model and everyone asks where she got her clothes and how much did she pay. She explains, proudly, that this lovely unique geometrically designed top that graces her tall slender frame cost only 10 shekels (about USD $2.50) and that she shops at Galleria Betzahlel, a Goodwill-meets-Outlet in Tel Aviv. They are shocked!
They tell her that they’ve been there before and couldn’t find anything but junk.
“Ah,” she sighs intently. “You just don’t know where to look nor how to shop.”
Shopping is an art, be in in person crawling through racks or digging through piles in the finest department stores or thrift shops. It’s also a skill to shop online, checking prices, quality, store ratings, shipping, and comparing products.
Your blog challenge this week is to blog a shopping experience or your shopping expertise.
It can be a story of the great hunt for a specific item, or tips for shopping online or through piles, as my Australian/British friend calls them.

I wrote something about shopping experience. I’ve been thinking about it for a long while now, and took the blog challenge as an opportunity to actually write it down and post it. However, it doesn’t have anything to do with fashion nor with going through piles, so I don’t know if it counts… Ans it’s in Hebrew 🙂
