Learning About the Web in Plain English

by engtech of Internet Duct Tape

Having a background in computer engineering has been a great boon to me when it comes to blogging. While I might not be the best at writing, web design, or being on top of the breaking news, I have had an edge from being genuinely interested in the technology behind how things work and finding ways to get them to work for me. But it can be very hard to try to explain how technology works to other people. That’s why I’m such a big fan of the “in plain english” series of instructional videos on YouTube by Common Craft.

Great resource – I’m a bit of a technophobe myself so I love the plain english + memorable visuals (“click” with the marker pen) + sound track (“boo!” “yay!”). I think I’ll be using – and sharing – these.

    Thanks for the tip.
