Whose Who Who Blog About Blogging

Articles about blogging tipsDaily Blog Tips lists the Top 25 Blogs About Blogging and here are the top ten:

  1. Problogger (RSS)
  2. Copyblogger (RSS)
  3. John Chow (RSS)
  4. Quick Online Tips (RSS)
  5. Lorelle on WordPress (RSS)
  6. Daily Blog Tips (RSS)
  7. Performancing (RSS)
  8. Weblog Tools Collection (RSS)
  9. Blog Herald (RSS)
  10. Blogging Pro (RSS)

The interesting part about this list is that it is based upon some fascinating value judgments. First, there are the numbers, the mathematical formulas used to create the statistics which puts each blog in it’s “place”.

Second, a prime criteria was that the majority of the blog’s content had to be about blogging, not anything and everything mixed in. That alone makes this a valuable list. If you want to learn about blogging from those who know what they speak about, I recommend you learn from bloggers who blog about blogging as a specialty, not an occasional reference. Learn other valuable things from others, but let bloggers who blog about blogging be the experts you turn to learn more about this blogging stuff. It’s their business and their life in many cases.

I also recommend you dig down lower in the list to check out the up and coming bloggers who blog about blogging. There are some goodies down there in the list and I expect them to rise up over the next year.

Hey Lorelle, I hope you’re not too embarrassed to hear that I think your place is richly deserved. Well done.

Funny that Daily Blog Tips make a list in which they stand so well 🙂
Agree on the list btw, except for Jon Chow that I really cannot stand. (Never understood what was so great with his ego blog, it’s totally overrated to me.)

I am kinda embarrassed about this. It’s an honor, but sometimes I wonder what people are thinking. I blog about such a narrow topic, blogging and WordPress, that it’s strange to me to think that this little blog would get such attention.

And then I read what I just wrote here and think, “she’s kidding, right?” Talk about low self-esteem. So part of me is embarrassed, and a lot of me is humbled, and a tiny part is damn proud. These kind of lists are always a mixed bag of emotions for me.

I just do what I do and if people like it, I’m okay with that. If they don’t, I still keep doing what I do. It’s that simple for me.

But the little tiny proud part of me thanks you. 😀
