ZePrez WordPress Video Guides

Hone Watson of ZePrez has created an amazing video guide of tutorials for covering the basics of using WordPress 2.x.

You can watch each one as a stand alone or go through the WordPress Tutorials in order to help you learn step-by-step.

These are Flash videos featuring screencasts with voice overs. And what a voice! I love his Australian accent. I just wish the sound wasn’t so muddy.

The video image is huge, so you can see what is clearly being talked about.

Each task is very narrow, so you can watch only the videos you need to get just want you want to learn. Simple tasks like how to bold text, how to undo, redo, unformat, add a link, and such to more complicated blog administration tasks like managing your user profile, using Press It, and managing Pages and Categories.

    Uh, yeah. That would be his *New Zealand* accent. 🙂

    It’s always good to see more tutorials etc for WordPress.

    Its a good resource, with short videos good for quick reference. The video on how to create a link neglected to incude a Title (which creates the Alt text). Would be good to see a review of the videos that relate to accessibility and help encourage good practices – I think a lot of people will watch these. Hone has comments off, a pity, he would probably get a lot of good feedback on these resources to help improve them.

    On the surface this looks like a great resource, however, start at the bottom of the list of tutorials and you will discover they are missing. There’s a page, there’s links back and forth all over the place but I can’t find the video. Where’s the under construction sign?

    Why is the page so long? So much white space? Poor design? No. Perhaps it’s all the spammy irrelevant links at the bottom of the page. Let this be a lesson in link bait for PR. First get the PR then sell the links. Of course you have a link from Lorelle and I don’t, so good for you, right?
