Planet WordPress has a new look and a new member of its elite team of bloggers: ME!
Planet WordPress is the official aggregator of all things seriously WordPress, including blog feeds from the core members of the WordPress development team, staff, and volunteers. The feeds from Planet WordPress are featured on full version WordPress blogs on the Dashboard panel.
Planet WordPress used to feature a fairly boring and unfinished look, but now it hosts the same look as the rest of WordPress. And with the new change came this little old blog added to the feed list. Wow! And thanks!
I’ve been a huge fan of Planet WordPress for a long time, which is one of the reasons it was the first feed I placed in this blog’s sidebar accessories (Widgets). If you are looking for serious information about WordPress, Planet WordPress is the first place to start.
Owen Winkler recently took time to “explain” Planet WordPress and how it works, including how many people want more control over feeds in their WordPress Dashboard. He also offered a variety of methods to change, disable, or replace the feeds for full version WordPress users.
I’ve also written some tips about customizing your WordPress Administration Panels, and offer up my own solutions to creating the the perfect WordPress Dashboard.

Really nice to see your post popup on the planet Lorelle 🙂
You deserve it, after all! 🙂
I noticed this yesterday when I refreshed and all of a sudden noticed a couple of articles in my dashboard that I’d already read in my feeds. 🙂
Thanks, all. It’s nice to be part of the team!
Amazing Lorelle. Well deserved.
Lorelle,
I’ve always wondered when Planet WordPress will start including your posts in the feed. It’s great to see your posts in the dashboard, a feature I really like. 🙂
Saw a few posts of yours in the Dashboard yesterday and figured this was the case. Well-deserved and long overdue.
Very nice to see you on the Planet Lorelle, well deserved indeed.
Thanks, guys. And Mark, I’ve been trying to email you for a couple of months. I hope you have all the bugs fixed on weblogtoolscollection.com! I’m dependent upon you for your great content, too!
Congrats Lorelle, Planet WP just got beter!
Way too cool, does this mean I don’t need to subscribe to your blog feed now ?
Congrats Lorelle!
I always wondered why your content never showed up in that feed. Well better late than never 🙂
I got all excited to find my favorite blog on my Dashboard when logging in today.
And I think it was about time, as well.
Great news, breathe some new life into the planet!
Congrats. I was wondering when you were going to be on there!
You are a welcome addition to the feed for me!
I’m surprised you weren’t in long ago. All of the work you do here is a great service to WordPress bloggers.
Wow, you’ve really moved up through the WordPress Community ranks! I remember the first time I saw you tinkering on the Codex. You started by just fixing typos and other inaccuracies as you noticed them, but in almost no time at all, you became one of the Codex’s major contributors, led quite a few Codex improvement efforts, and eventually became a Codex administrator. Since then, you’ve become a WordPress.com star, and now you’re part of Planet WordPress! Congratulations!
Congrats! Nice to see you on the dash since I’ve been eagerly reading your WP-related entries. 🙂
Ah, shucks, *blush*. 😀
I just blog my little blog and try not to do much harm. hee hee
