Who is Using WordPress Out There?

Search Engine Journal reports that “ResourceShelf Moves to WordPress From Blogger”, another among the big league players moving to WordPress.

About.com, ZDNet, Jeffery Zeldman, Robert Scoble, and many others have turned to WordPress for their blogging system.

I know many of you are using WordPress, but I’m curious as to who else is out there using WordPress as their blog/CMS system that we might not be aware of. Any surprising services, websites, or blogs that you might not associated with using WordPress? Do you know any? Let us know. Who is blogging with WordPress? Besides yourself.

About.com did amazing things incorporating WordPress into their system. So along with pointing to others who may surprise you by using WordPress, how about pointing to some very interesting uses of WordPress, beyond straight blogging?

I am in the process of converting to WordPress from Blogger and at the same time making my blog a lot more professional (I hope).

Hey Lorelle just checking in. Did you by any chance register for the 9rules message boards?
    Thanks.

Although I have a Typepad Pro Account that I use for setting up Video Blogs, and I use one of the accounts myself – and I like the Feedburner integration – whew! Like I was saying….I am considering going over to a hosted WordPress system, mostly due to the fact that Typepad’s support is just awful, and that the ability to extend the various page templates in MT is a kludge.

The is a company, called, OpenLink Software, that has a Supersserver system, which includes blog, on-line storage, etc. I may consider them.

Michael, I’m on the road traveling. I did register for the 9rules message boards before I hit the road. But haven’t had an Internet access long enough to check in. Am I missing something? Thanks.

Have been using WordPress since about last fall. Won’t use anything else. Ease of use has made it perfect for me.

With my personal blogging experience, I was asked to create a new blog for IFILM.com and of course suggested we use WordPress. I Saw It on IFILM is just a different way for users to experience videos on IFILM proper, and display what people can do with our embedded player. I keep it very simple and I’m given free reign to just blog about my favorite videos. It’s been a fun, cool project.

Searching for a non-standard cms solution for an idea in the back of my head, I decided to go with wordpress for my install. So far it’s working out great and my writers like the design. It’s simple to maintain and looks great. Functionality and looks..what else could you ask for?
