Custom Google Search Feeds

Update: While this was a great idea, GooRSS is now defunct.

is a new custom feed generator in beta testing based upon Google search results. It’s really wonderful and something Google should implement.

From the front page, enter in your search keywords and click SEARCH. At the bottom of the first page of results is the traditional orange XML icon representing your custom search feed. Either use your feed reader to search the page for the feed, or click and drag it into your feed reader. When you then click on the feed, the title of the feed keywords will then appear as the search is read.

I have a list of other custom feed generators in the article called Hundreds of Resources for Finding Content for Your Blog – Tracking Stories.

Lorelle, I am definitely interested in this but I get errors. The linke redirects me to http://preferiti.info/. Not your intent I am sure. Can you fix this?

Thanks for pointing this out, Martin. I can’t find any info on this issue yet, though rumors were flying that GooRSS would be taken down by Google because of the Logo being a little too “close”. I’ll do more digging to see what I can turn up.
