I’m a big fan of Robin’s Blog aka Take My Advice – I’m Not Using It!. Based upon a series of classes at the Regional Occupational Program’s Web Page Design Program in Pleasant Hill, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area, Robin Wood offers students excellent information on web design, web development, and web technologies, helping them cope with the growing field of the Internet and Web.
Robin not only offers excellent educational information and resources for her students, but everyone who wants to learn more about web design and web development. Through this informative website, you can learn about CSS, XHTML, stylesheets, javascripts, layout, design, website and blog administration, writing for websites, and so much more.
Having been monitoring Robin’s Blog for the past few months, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite posts there to help you learn more about web design and development. These cover a variety of topics including finding a host, working with Photoshop and Paintshop Pro, layout, design, web standards, validation, browser bugs, and website development, excellent for the beginning blogger or website designer.

Thank you so much….I’m so touched!!! My students and I really appreciate the fact that you stop by our blog to share your wisdom. It’s impossible for me to be able to keep up with everything happening in technology, people like you who take the time to share your knowledge with students make a world of difference. We’re big fans of yours at the Contra Costa ROP. 🙂
As an aside, I just started teaching high school web design. We’re just starting our resource site for the class @ http://acalanes.robinsblog.com It should be a fun adventure to teach high school students standards!
Thanks again,
You are very welcome, Robin. And good luck with the class and the program. If I can be of help, or help write an article that would be of service, please let me know.
