When it comes to search engines, who has you covered? With an interesting promotional tool, DogPile has created Compare Search Engines tool. Enter your search keywords or phrase, or even the name of your site or site address, and wait and watch.
The resulting display is a visual comparison of which search engines feature your page or site exclusively or overlapping with other search engines. Typically, three search engines are compared: Google, MSN and Yahoo. Then you can click “Search Dogpile.com” and see what DogPile returns from its search of Google, MSN, Yahoo and Ask Jeeves. Click one of the arrows next to the Search Engine name in the circles and you can change to another search engine of the 4 to compare your search results.
The idea is to promote how much coverage DogPile has for searching than just any one of the other search engines on their own. But for website owners and administrators, this clever tool is another way to check your search engine optimization (SEO) for your site.
