Great review. I’ve got to say I love the way 3.2 is looking so far. I do find it much better since i’ve upgraded my browsers.

Love the speed and new features I’m gradually discovering as well.

I wish I could upgrade, but 1and1 hosting are using an old PHP version. Hopefully they will install the latest version soon, and I can upgrade my blog then. Thanks for the in-depth information.

Yes indeed… much faster.
My theme is a bit of a donkey when it comes to loading and I have been thinking of changing it.
With 3.2 it now loads super fast and I’ll stick with it.

The speed of WordPress was the only thing that used to disappoint me but with 3.2… all that has changed.
Well done to the guys at WordPress, no more slow sites.

WoW. Amazingly through review of WordPress 3.1.4. I’m a fan of the TwentyTen theme, so I’ll check out TwentyEleven.

The testing was done on the Administration Panels, testing the back end speed and loading times. Front end testing is more subjective, but it would be interesting to test the TwentyTen Theme versus TwentyEleven. When WordPress is talking about “faster and leaner” they are talking about the program itself, not the paint job that people see, though that is influenced by a faster program.

Why not benchmark 3.1.4 vs 3.2 with twenty ten theme running on both, no activated plugins? That’d be a fair comparison, no?
