WordCamp Whistler: WordPress Power Tips Slide Show

WordPress EventsWhew! What a day. WordCamp Whistler 2009 in Whistler, BC, Canada, today has been one non-stop WordPress packed WordCamp. I’ll have more details, but you can see my Slideshare version of my presentation below on WordPress Power Tips.

I also showed my popular “WordCamp Portland: How WordPress Changes Lives” including the fabulous video by Glenda Watson Hyatt of the Do It Myself Blog on how she, the famous Left Thumb Blogger, had her life changed by WordPress.

I’ll be doing a video version of my presentation with notes in the next few days.

I’m heading to Vancouver, BC, tomorrow and hoping to spend Monday in Chinatown for the Chinese New Year’s festivities.

I have so many exciting stories, photos, and summaries of this powerful WordPress event…just stay tuned. Until then, here’s a little tidbit to thrill you from our WordPress Tattoo Contest winner, April of Fearless City.

Hey Lorelle – u truly rock!

Thanks for coming into town… and for boosting my energy in bringing the message of Social Media here. 2010 gives us a GREAT opportunity to create some noise – hoping Whistler will position itself as a fantastic example of how to embrace this powerful tool 🙂

Time to change the World – don’t ya just love it?!

    Caroline.

Hmmm, you’re going to be in Chinatown today? That’s my neighborhood! It should be plenty of fun; there’s always a huge event at Tinseltown Mall at Keefer and Abbott streets, and probably the best place to eat is Floata, on Keefer at Columbia upstairs in the dumpy-looking mall. There will be lion/dragon dancers today at some point as well, up and down the streets visiting all the stores.

@raincoaster: We delayed the trip to Chinatown due to a sudden invitation for me to do a blog/social media presentation for a local business. Business comes before play, you know. If the snow doesn’t prevent wheel chair access for my friends that I am staying with, we’re heading there tomorrow. Thanks for great tips for eating. I love Asian food of all types.
