You’ve got all kinds of problems, don’t you. :D Be sure and remove EVERYTHING from your server before uploading the new version – everything except what is in your /wp-content/ folder and other stuff you need hanging around. The everything of the WordPress program.

Sometimes when we upload over things via FTP and such, the files don’t make it all the way. A clean upload will usually cure a lot of problems.

Thank goodness the WordPress Support Forum is there to help hold your hand when you are in agony.

]]> By: Elaine http://lorelle.wordpress.com/2008/08/21/lorelle-at-wordcamp-2008-260-ways-to-break-wordpress/#comment-908264 Sat, 23 Aug 2008 10:50:39 +0000 http://lorelle.wordpress.com/?p=2898#comment-908264 well i reinstalled wordpress, and everything is the same, and i installed firefox and the only thing that’s different is the question mark is missing for the themes that don’t work, but when i click on them to preview, it’s the same thing, just black and white and blue links.. no formatting per say, no nothing to do with the theme… i looked in the forums and found a couple of people having these problems, and noted that they were both on macs, so i guess i’ll just have to live with it until people start coding for this rapidly growing part of the user world.. :)

And I will definitely check one of those scripts, though I’m really looking forward to threaded comments in WordPress 2.7.

I guess I can be proud as I have not managed to break my first and busiest installation of WordPress, though it’s been on a high-traffic website for 4 years.

But I agree that Safari is nowhere near friendly for a web designer. I tried out to Windows version and I looked through the most of my projects from a Mac in an Apple store and it just looked like something completely different to me. The font was pretty blurry, too.

Thanks to Jacob, it looks like he answered your question. Safari has been troublesome for web design on and off for a while, so the Theme you are using might have issues with Safari. Have you checked it on another browser?
