A permalink symbol? What’s that? A permalink is a link. Why do you need a symbol? I think that blogs that use a permalink “link” on them are clutter, and changing them to a symbol just adds more visual clutter. The link is the link. If you are using a blog platform that continues to use and reference permalinks, I’m sorry. It’s a terrible practice. The link to the post is the link to the post and there shouldn’t be anything else.

Since I don’t understand the usage, I couldn’t recommend any symbol. Sorry.

Lorelle: I’ve been a fan of your works for a year or so, but this is my first contact. In searching for a standard permalink symbol, I’ve found the octothorpe (#) most widespread.

I like the infinity symbol, but would rather cast my vote for a paperclip or a thumbtack. Presently, though, ihave opted for an attractive image of the pound sign.

@ Amber: Well, this is an article about blogging about symbols, a writing challenge, not helping you find them. I recommend that you check the recommended site, Symbols, within the article, and keep looking, but not here.

I have a symbol that I don’t know what it represents or what it means. Where can I send it to find out it’s meaning? I have found it in the US and also in France.
