Thanks for the kind words, and honestly, I have received many awards and accolades for this blog and other online work I do, and only a few do I ever publish or fuss over. They aren’t the reason I do this and they do embarrass me.

As for acknowledging who I am and what I’m capable of, I don’t need an award to tell me that. I know those answers.

I wish I could explain this better. The moment those awards become important to me, my work here is done. It’s not about the trophies. It’s about the work. It’s about you, the reader. That is my reward.

I want everyone who does well in blogging to get the acknowledgment they deserve, but more importantly, that they want. Me, I don’t want them. You reading and enjoying what I write is motivation and encouragement enough.

It’s not false modesty. It’s reality.

Besides, these mean little unless they come with cash.

I don’t read other blogs a lot, but yours has come on my radar recently - primarily on doing searches regarding WordPress semantics. I think you definitly fit the 9Rules requirements to be deemed WORTHY AGAIN.

At a point, you do need to step-up and acknowledge who you are and what you’re capable of. Not only have you been nomindated, a second time, but your readers tell you “whatever” when you blog about your (modesty) feelings of unworthiness. They believe in you - that’s what counts and matters. You can be as modest as you like, but the fact is you deserve the honor. You don’t have to have a big head and say “vote for me, I want it.” Likewise, you also don’t have to deem yourself unworthy, considering so many other people believe otherwise. I don’t know how to tell you to react, but I’ll tell you that not only 9Rules, and your readers know you’re worthy … you know it too and should acknowledge this yourself.

Aww, Azrin, that’s not nice! (But still, it IS a distinction, of sorts! And I clicked your name just to see what might constitute the WORST non-US blogger of the year, but I have to disagree. Oh, boy, could I name worse ones. Maybe not THE worst…that’d be almost harder than choosing the BEST!

But Lorelle, I don’t know you well enough, yet, to trust you on that! There’s always someone out there who’s better, but you’ve been nominated and, from what I can see, are deserving of an award. I’ll check them out, too, though!
