ok, as Pelf said, it's Eid on Saturday, and I planned to 'video blog' of our celebrations that day (it's a small celebration, but celebration nonetheless), does that count? if so, I'll post the link on Sunday. :)

@<a href="http://lorelle.wordpress.com/2007/10/11/blog-challenge-blog-about-a-holiday-tradition/#comment-655753" rel="nofollow">pelf</a>:

It's that or blog about how you learned to grow your own, cook your own, dehydrate your own, and process your own food so you are not dependent upon the rituals of your government. :D

Actually, while I was living in Israel, we'd stock up on EVERYTHING before Pessach (Passover) as anything with a hint of wheat, flour, etc., in it was not to be sold within the country - anywhere. They blocked off and wrapped up whole aisles in the grocery stores. Then we got smart and planned vacations during those time periods.

Err.. Can I blog about how we Chinese go by Ramadan looking for food for lunch in a Muslim-dominated state in Malaysia? LOL. It was difficult because being a Muslim-dominated state, there are only 3 Chinese food stalls within a 10km radius from the university.

So we either ate at the same ol' place, or travel to town (which is about 17km away) for lunch.

But I'm glad this is going to be over soon (it will be Aidil Fitri this Saturday) and the Malay food stalls will once be open. WooHoo!
