Daniel,

I went to the iTunes site you listed and couldn’t find any podcasts in there even after searching. I can see things that say they have 100,000 free podcasts, but I can’t find a directory or search for them. The site layout is not very intuitive for me.
I’ve been posting MP3s on my site since 2001, and videos since 2004, and I guess it’s time to make a real podcast people can get from apple or at least get it listed. At least I have the studio already. I guess everybody else knows where to find them but me!
I will try to read all these articles and see if wordpress actually helps in this process.

Trust you, my friend, to come up with something so fascinating! I’ll check this out. I like the idea. It makes “journaling” really live on the web. Cool!

For those who do not feel like broadcasting their voice, but who still want to offer more of a personal touch than just ascii characters, I suggest pencasting. Basically: write your post with pen and paper, scan, publish. More sober than podcasting in hardware, personal involvement, and bandwidth. Just as limited as podcasting in search capabilities.

A podcast is a digital media file, or a series of such files, that is distributed over the Internet using syndication feeds for playback on portable media players and personal computers. A podcast is a specific type of webcast which, like ‘radio’, can mean either the content itself or the method by which it is syndicated; the latter is also termed podcasting. The site that I use is mypodcast.com. It is free and simple!

OK, I have a question. I’ve asked this many times but never got an answer:

I’d like to record an audio clip once in a while, just for the fun of it. I don’t need the RSS feed because there won’t be a series (remember? I’m not doing a radio show). All I need is a website that allows me to record a short clip, perhaps a conversation with my sister, then hosts it for me, generates a few lines of code so that I can paste them on my blog in order for my readers to enjoy (LOL) them.

Now, my question is, is THAT still called a podcast? And if yes, can you recommend me a couple of websites that help me do just that?
