I think you are asking Daniel. I don't have a "show". Yet. :D

With great guest bloggers like I've had recently on the subject of podcasting, I'm giving it serious thought.

Personally, I'm totally for planning everything when it comes to entertainment, be it blog, podcast, or video. And then edit, edit, edit, and fix. :-)

Hi Lorelle,

I use a program called PowerGramo to record my Skype calls - even the free version will allow you to do it although I'm thinking of upgrading to the registered version as it's pretty cool. The recordings can be exported to mp3 or 0gg files for use later.

What I'm curious about is: do you have people come in on Skype as you're doing your show?

In terms of planning, I'd opt for simpler solution: recorded them earlier! Then you can have time to edit the clip as necessary if you like. It removes the potential for gaffs and blunders and you just add a line like "here's an interview I did earlier with X who said..." to your podcast. It's an old radio trick that I picked up from my dad years ago...

I completely agree with you though - nothing quite like planning and making sure everthing works!

I've been interviewed over Skype not too long ago, and the clip turned out pretty well. I could hear myself and my host very clearly.

I emailed my host to ask what program/software she used to record our conversation, but she has yet to reply (she's probably very busy), do you have any suggestions?
