These stories are truly inspiring and mesmerizing. How exciting to be part of a sub-culture with so many words in it. I had made blog-like websites on Geocities and Bravenet and Angelfire with guestbooks and all that jazz since back in 1994 when i was finishing college. It wasn't until December of 2006 that I discovered a little fantastico script that read "Wordpress" that my passion for homepages and html would change to the Wordpress software. It started out as a way to entertain family and friends with little "ecolumns" on movies, news items, relevant family info and such. After joining Technorati and learning the bastion of tools out there for bloggers, I got the bug -- wanted authority and wanted hits. Since then I have learned that my passion for writing is what my blog is about. Communicating with others and connecting things and people. I have a day job teaching. It allows me the time to run my blog. It's become a journey of self-discovery and I have met 100's of people since I started. most recently, I've discovered the amazing resource of Lorelle at Wordpress. If only I knew about this blog at my first post :( Oh well, better late than never I say.

Hello everyone! I've been present online since may and I decided to have a blog because I want to share any precious information that I find with others. I also write about my opinions regarding different subjects and also talk about myself and those close to me.

Best regards and keep up the good work!

Briefly, (and that’ll be a first for me), I’ve been a freelance writer for almost 30 years. Some time ago I came up with the idea of doing a book about this Gay, middle-class, part-time anarchist called Guy Forks. Eventually, I decided to create a blog for him. Most blogs appear to be about real people, so why should fictional characters miss out on all the fun? That’s when things started to snowball and I included my other projects as well. Like the UK’s worst school; the celebrity chef Gordon Rumsey who’s a cannibal; a former USMC gunnery sergeant now living in a DIY iron lung in the loft of Guy Fork’s bungalow in North Wales; David Hirving, a famous historian who has some photographs from Hitler’s photo album that show the Fuhrer in a new light. In all I’ve ended up with 8 blogs! Only one of them – mine – is about a real person. Although I’ve started to doubt even that. Once there you’ll find links to the other blogs.

Several reasons:
1. Writing helps me define (some of) my thoughts more precisely. Without anyone to read them, there's no point in writing them down, though.
2. I've been told several times that my ideas/thoughts are worth writing down.
3. The form fits my needs for a website. By ordering stuff by date, it's clear which topic I'm concerned with at the moment. Tagging/categorizing posts allows sections of a website to grow naturally, and without conscious effort.
4. I was bored.
