Exciting Lorelle on WordPress News

I’m just finishing up a 10 day trip that turned into two weeks on the road. Whew. I have a few more days left and then back to the grind for a week or so before heading towards San Francisco and the amazing WordCamp 2007.

If you haven’t heard, is July 21-22 in San Francisco. Space is limited and registration is required. There is an amazing line up on the WordCamp Schedule, so I expect it to sell out fast, so get your tickets now.

Guest Blogging on Problogger: Three of my articles have been published recently on Darren Rowse’s Problogger, Telling Your Story With Words and Images, and an excerpts from my book, Blogging Tips: Writing Purposeful Content and Blogging Tips: First Impressions Count.

Interviewed: Daily Blog Tips interviewed me, asking some interesting questions this week. Last week, One Blog A Day published an interview, which covers some of the how and why I ended up on Lorelle On WordPress.

Lorelle Speaking at WordCamp 2007: My topic at is “Kicking Ass Content Connections”, helping you connect with your readers and build your blog through your blog’s content. Any tips or hints you’d love to share or know about, let me know.

HELP WANTED – Looking For 21 Foot Motor Home Parking San Francisco: I’m still debating whether or not I’ll drive the small motor home south to California, but parking is an issue. I’ll be staying close to the conference with a friend but I can’t park the motor home in the area and leave it. I’d love some tips and helps on finding a place to park it and leave it for three to five days. It parks just barely in a normal parking spot, but it is just under 12 feet high. I got nailed by a tree on my last trip to San Francisco, so all help is appreciated.

Greg Balanko-Dickson, Guest Blogging on Lorelle on WordPress: A dear friend and fellow blogger, Greg Balanko-Dickson, has graced this blog again with the brilliant Business Blogging Strategy: Build Trust and Rapport, a wonderful look at your blog identity through networking – if they can’t trust you, how can you make the connection with your blog? A great article and invaluable tips. Thank you again, Greg!

Lorelle on WordPress Scrapped and Violated: Some wonderful blogging friends and fans have been alerting me to copyright violations and feed scrapers (splogs) of this blog. THANK YOU. If you find Lorelle On WordPress is being scrapped or the content stolen, please let me know.

I Like It When You Say Nice Things About Me: I have to say, I was totally blown away by Dawud Miracle’s wonderful article about me, highlighting my interview on Daily Blog Tips. Some very kind people had more nice things to say. It is amazing how isolated my work and lifestyle is and then someone says such nice things – I’m really amazed and humbled. Thank you, Dawud, and everyone. I’m blushing and I promise I’ll work harder to be more deserving.

Blogging Tips - book cover, copyright Lorelle VanFossenBlogging Tips, What Bloggers Won’t Tell You About Blogging: My signing hand now hosts a jammed finger from I know not what. Maybe signing too many books. :D Still, the orders for autographed copies are still coming in faster than I can keep up with them, so apologies if your book orders are slightly delayed. I’m on the road and doing my best to keep up with the requests and discovering a lot of new post offices along the road.

To order your own copy of the limited first printed edition with a reduced introductory price, order from SplashPress or the new Blog Herald Bookstore. For more information on the book, see the original announcement and a recent update with reviews and other information, as well as the Blogging Tips Book official page.

I thought maybe we’d all figured out what blogging is, but it seems people are still coming to grips with the term and its definition and meaning in their life.

How do you make the blast from the past btw? Is it a plugin or do you pick out the posts by hand? If so I have the perfect challenge for you ;-)

Thanks, Jan. I thought I’d gotten it right but that’s a bad habit with the ie business. :D As for the Blasts from the Past, it’s all manual. Everything on this blog is manual as no Plugins are allowed on WordPress.com blogs.

Remotecontrolceo: Greg, you are always welcome here. You help make this blog better in so many ways. Thank you!
