SplashPress and The Blog Herald Announce the Independent Blogger Book Quest is an announcement by the Blog Herald contributor Successful-Blog’s Liz Strauss about the hunt for independently published books by bloggers.
Every week, I’ll be reviewing a book published independently — without the backing of a major publisher. In keeping with our mission at the Blog Herald, the books will be about blogging, business, and the work of online professionals.
I have a first few books already selected for review, but don’t think that your business or blogging book can’t be a part.
The guidelines for inclusion in this exciting weekly book review is that you must have published a print or ebook on blogging or the business of blogging and then send an email to liz [at] splashpress.com and include the following information:
- Subject Line: Independent Blogger Book
- Name of the book
- Name of the author
- General Topic:
- Short summary of the book: 500 words or less
- Date of publication or first availability to the public
Liz claims this new quest for blogging books is in celebration of my book, Blogging Tips That Bloggers Won’t Tell You About Blogging, and I’m honored, but I also believe it is in recognition of the growing industry of blogging.
If you know of a book on blogging you would like considered, let us know and contact the author and recommend they submit the book to this new and exciting Independent Blogger Book Quest.
As for me, I can’t wait to see all the books offered. I have some empty spaces on my bookshelf that would be well-filled with blogging books, in between PHP how-tos and genealogy research.

I just got your book yesterday and have only read a few random sections, but already I got some great tips. Most of all, I love that it’s an easy read, very clear and well organized. The best line thus far is “comments are a mini resume”. Thanks for writing the book!
Thank you. Not bad for a three week rushed book.
And you are always welcome. Please let me know what you think when you’ve passed through a few more sections.
