As has been mentioned ad nausea, the book was done from conception to the printer in three weeks, with the page count changing dramatically in the last three days. There was a ridiculous deadline, combined with the evolution of the book, changing the book from a photocopy set of articles (50 pages) to a printed, original book (50-100-200-250-75-100 pages during the last week) through the process, something I will never repeat.

There was no time for professional proofing. The next edition will have all/most of the ickies fixed. Thanks for the offer, though. I’ve just had to learn to live with the humiliation, which has been difficult, trust me.

And an electronic version and audio version are in the works. Along with some other goodies coming soon.

Hi Lorelle,

I was at WordCamp and really liked your presentation.

The book arrived while I was away so I only just looked at it. Good stuff and well thought out; however, (now you just *knew* there would be a caveat, right?) there are too many simple typos.

Why send your best child to the dance in moth-eaten clothes?

If you wish you may send me a copy in almost every electronic format and I will happily correct everything I see. (No proofreader is perfect, not even me!) I have years of experience typesetting (even in hot metal), proofreading, and technical writing.

I got my copy last week and I am enjoying everything about it. As I move The Rock and Roll Report from a hobby to a more serious endeavor, I am finding that these tips are extremely helpful and thought provoking. Great job!

It was done in 3 weeks from conception to final product. In the last three days, it was edited down even more to fit within a smaller page count format. It was spell checked numerous times, but not everything can be caught every time. And this was only to go to the attendees of the SOBCon event with a few extras but the sponsor and publisher loved it so much, they ordered a lot more printed.

The book has been such an incredible success, typos included, that a second edition is planned. That will be handled in a more slow and methodical method, including fixing all the fixes and possibly increasing the page count to add the wonderful information cut out at the last minute.

Nothing like a little advanced planning and preparation to make a better quality product. When you have it.

I can’t speak too highly of your book, Lorelle. It’s just what I’d hope it would be - lots of information about blogging packaged neatly as a series of questions and answers. Wonderful!

There are some typos, though. If you do another edition, it would be worth paying a professional proof-reader to give it the once over. (If you did pay a professional proof-reader to check this edition, you should demand your money back.)

Having said that, the content is just great. And you delivered my copy to the UK very quickly indeed. Thank you!
