All content you write is original. What do you mean it has to be about the subject of your blog? It’s your blog. You write it. You set the tone. You set the subject. Do with it what you want.

Hurt? Hurt how? If you want to build traffic, be found, and make your blog professional in shape and form, then being found is critical. Writing with words people search for will definitely help. But will you be hurt? By who?

I recommend you read How People Search the Web and How They Can Find Your Blog and keep reading here, and maybe get my book on Blogging Tips to help you understand better how this all works. It’s really easy, but remember, it’s your blog, you do with it what you want, and if you want to attract like-minded readers, then you have to do what it takes so they can find you.

But no one will “hurt” you and you won’t be penalized. It’s your blog. You control it.
