    How true!
I’ve looked at quite a few; at the moment I’m keenest on CiteULike & connotea because of their links to EndNote and academic referencing.

I’ve got accounts with quite few more – such as del.icio.us & Technorati, but I find that they give me too many other links; so, at the moment my general bookmarks tend to reside in iKeepbookmarks, which isn’t social, but is very useful for me! The social tools were just giving me far too many options. (I also tended to forget exactly what tags I’d used, iKeepbookmarks’ folders helped to control my amnesia … though I do sometimes wonder why I’ve classified things as I have!)

I love Technorati. That’s the only one I’ve had any experience with. I’m going to try Del.icio.us and see what that’s like.
