Good potential but not yet ready for prime time. I do use Snipshot’s website rather than the extension; it’s quick and fast, but transload would be nice.

As for GIMP Portable, I use that at work because I can’t install anything else. The learning curve on the GIMP is extremely high, though – I have lots of PSP experience and some PS experience, but I can barely do anything in the GIMP.

It is the first version of Gimp that does not seem to cause incompatibility with my computer and you can install it to a USB drive and take it with you. Seems like the perfect solution.
I still have to learn the screwy user interface. It looks very promising since I am used to the power of Photoshop.

It’s lighter and quicker.
