I laughed so hard. I decided to use this example as a blog challenge. Your next blogging challenge is to blog about what in your life is now version 2.0.
Is there something in your life that has finally reached version 2.0? Blog about it.
Clearly, my friend had reached the next stage in her life’s development, but there are many things in our lives that go through development stages just like software. When we start a new job, we’re at version 0.1, learning as we go and making mistakes along the way. After a year or so, we’re comfortable in the job enough to label it version 1.0. As the responsibilities increase and the job shifts and changes, it will go through versions 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, and then reach 2.0. In a life time of work, you may have many version numbers that range from 18.104.22.168 to 14.3 or any combination you want.
The version numbers can apply to your personal life, love, children, living in a home, hobbies, and even your blog. Where are you in your blog’s development? Have you reached 2.0 or gone way beyond it?
Just like software, you need to blog about the version’s features, previous versions, changelogs, and improvements which qualified a rise in the version number. It doesn’t have to be version 2.0. You pick the version numbers.
It’s up to you to examine your life, work, and blogging experience to find a subject to blog about it’s version number. I’m looking forward to some great creative releases. ;-)
