I just wanted to add some of the other plugins that I’ve found extremely useful:

Drop Down Admin Menu – saves a lot of clicks in WP Admin
AJAX Comment Preview – Lets users preview their comments inline before submitting.
Similar Posts – improved version of Related Posts
Landing Sites – shows related articles when visitors click over from a search engine
AddThis – Social Bookmarking
Search Meter. Displays top searches if it doesn’t find any search results.
