See Understanding, Using, and Customizing WordPress Blog Feeds – the answer is yes, you can have a feed that is only for author posts. :D As for comments only on those author posts, I’m not sure but anything is possible since there are feeds for comments, why can’t the feeds be author post comment specific. :D

I’m struggling with comments myself – what about feeds for comments only related to a specific author? Could an author subscribe to an rss feed for all comments related to their posts? I don’t think there’s a way to do this in wordpress and I think that’s a big need.
