A friend of mine while has been blogging for a long while with a large reader base for a personal blog told me this. "Don't earn hits. Earn respect" I guess whatever she said has to be true. At the end of it, you can have a post that can draw out people from the woodwork, but at the end of the day, it's about people who return that you build your relationship with. You can't do that if they come back solely because they want to see how much of a one hit wonder you once was. Which is quite true anyway.
