The only problem with this method is you have to change the core of wordpress and if something updates, then you have to manually go in and fix it. There is another way.

To fix the wp-quicktags plugin in WP 2.2, you only have to change line 98 to: if(strpos($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'], 'post.php') || strpos($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'], 'page-new.php') || strpos($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'], 'post-new.php') || strpos($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'], 'page.php') )
