We won’t kill of spam, via email or blogs, until we kill the income spammers make. Someone is still gullible and making them money. We have to educate EVERYONE to never click nor respond nor open an potential spam so all sources of potential income is removed. That’s the only way this will be stopped.

Posting the spammers just proliferates. And I doubt anyone new is going to check your site first before dealing with their own spam.

As Lorelle says, get a heavy-duty email program and system instead of Outlook Express

re-direct arriving spam to spam@uce.gov, or reportphishing@antiphishing.org,

I don’t think that outlook express can even handle all the rules I’ve written, because every time I write a new one, some of the old junk starts coming back.

So, I’ve decided to start posting the IP addresses, email addresses and headers to the spam I get. I don’t know if this is going to junk up the web worse, or let newbies know the email they just got from their bank is really a phishing trip. (That of course assumes they do a search and then read what I’ve written about each type of spam I get.)

What are your thoughts on this?

Lastly, if it is really annoying you, then change to a high quality email service that has good spam filters. And NEVER, repeated NEVER, give out your legit email to anyone online except friends, co-workers, and family. Use your old email address for online requests of your email. The more public and shared your email is, the more likely it is to be used by email spammers.
