Excellent point. When we blog with an interest in what we are writing about, we tend to have fun writing it. When we do it because it is something we have to do, then it tends to drag, for us and the reader. Great point! Thanks!

In your particular case, is it the novelty of the items you found to write about that jazzes you or the way you wrote about them? These are marvelous posts, but it does beg the question.

Coming up with interesting ways of talking about interesting things can be really challenging. Sometimes the item itself is more interesting than what you could possibly say about it, but then sometimes things are helped by what you do say about them. It’s a really hard thing to do. People think it is easy to be witty and brilliant upon command, but it isn’t. Good for you!

We spend so much time agonizing over what we screwed up, thinking we’re not good enough, that we forget that there is plenty to be proud of. So I like this idea. Brag about what you are proud of accomplishing. What a tremendous way to start off a new year!
