Checkout http://www.myotherdrive.com . This site gives you 5GB of free online storage. It handles photos with an extra nice touch – it shows thumb previews, let’s you rotate them. Supports batch upload and download. New feature coming soon – “synchronize” which will automatically make a local directory and an online directory match by doing the necessary uploads/downloads.

This site lets you share your files to groups you set up, and selectively give access to.

Have you tried http://www.Backup2Net.com software. They support both local backups and online backups. What I do is to backup my important files an additional drive everyday. And backup to their backup server once every week, for redundancy. It has a decent scheduler. the software will automatically do the backup during late nights for me. So far its working out great for me.

Storage space is not enough – even if it is free. You should use an automatic online backup tool like Data Deposit Box… It’s not terribly expensive and you can back up as many PCs or servers as you like. Once you set it up, there is nothing to do. What good is online storage if you didn’t copy your file there just before your computer crashed?

Try IBackup, they have a feature called snapshots which comes free. With snapshots, you can restore up to previous 10 days of backup without having to pay for extra space. Other services have the concept of versions, every new version adds to the online storage space.
