The title of this post (ie. "How to write good") itself fails the English as a first language test as to suckiness. "Good" is an adjective. "How to write" requires an adverb ("well").

Just to clarify for the record, English is in fact my first and only language. Don't want to leave a possible misunderstanding out there. I was wishing (joking) I could hide my awful spelling behind some excuse, any excuse. I probably could have made that a little more clear. And thanks again for the encouragement. It's appreciated.

It says a lot that your article was good enough that I overlooked the spelling issues. ;-) Good writing will usually overcome some spelling and grammar, which is why it was so surprising to find the casual mistakes. The writing was so excellent, it never occurred to me that English wasn't your first language. Great work! And fantastic writing. Keep up the great work, Griffin. We need more bloggers like you!
