I’m sorry that you are having problems with adding JavavScript to your site. The instructions in the article are the methods that work. I would only be repeating myself.

If you are on WordPress.com, you CANNOT use JavaScript. If you are on a WordPress MultiSite, you CANNOT use JavaScript without express permission of the administrator.

If you are on a self-hosted site, the examples in the article are the way it works. If you wish to add JavaScript to a post or Page, you need to do so using the HTML/Text Editor, not the Visual Editor.

I used the following step mentioned this blog. But I was not able to get it done. Though I had the script inside the post. The js code is show inside the tag.

Can you please show with some example. That will be good.

WordPressDOTcom does not support JavaScript in their blogs. That’s right. Self-hosted versions of WordPress do.
