Upping the Ante on wordpress.com Invites

First, we had someone selling their wordpress.com invite on ebay. Now, we have someone starting a competition to give away another invite to wordpress.com based on the winning “guess” at how much the wordpress.com invite on ebay will sell for when the sale ends on August 28.

Hmm, maybe someone should start a competition to estimate the number of people who will submit their estimates of the amount of the free wordpress.com invite sale on ebay? Hey, think of all the twists and turns and contests we can make with this?

Hello, I’m the winner of the bid!I just start selling wordpress.com invite on ebay. I paid it for $46.37, you can pay less to get it this time!

Hmmm… I paid $5 for a Gmail invite way back when, but $46 for a blog seems a bit steep.

And the idea of winning the bid on Ebay and then selling your own free invite again on Ebay – a little redundant. The first one started out at 25 cents. This one started at $10.

    All for a free invite.

The wonders of the human mind.
