WordPress.com Invite on Ebay

Want an invite to join wordpress.com? Well, invites to get onto this site as a blogger are FREE, but mdawaffe, a notorious volunteer and mastermind behind a lot of what goes on behind the scenes in WordPress, is selling off his invite on ebay.

He’s promised that proceeds will go to a good cause, so you only have a few hours left to get your precious, but not free, invite to wordpress.com.

    An invite can be yours if you sign up at wordpress.com, just like anyone else can.

    WordPress and WordPress.com is free. This was in 2005 when WordPress.com was new and this was a silly publicity getter done by one of the volunteers to raise interest in WordPress.com blogs which were then by invitation only. For more on this see Don’t Buy WordPress - It’s Free.
